TechEd 2008 Schedule

Call it lucky or unlucky but I will be in Orlando for two weeks in June for both sessions of TechEd 2008 – and I’m not even speaking! Here’s a rundown of the planned activities (this post subject to frequent updates as the event approaches):

During most of the Developer week I will be at or near the WSS TLC booth; as noted previously, please drop by and have a chat about SharePoint performance (you do want a chance at a free copy of Sonar Standard, don’t you?) or any other SharePoint development topic that interests you. I’ll be standing in for Bob Fox on Monday night at the SharePint by Night event as Bob feels it’s beneath him to hang out with all us devheads (not really, he’s got, like, you know, real work to do that week).

This year BinaryWave will have our own booth at TechEd to promote Sonar. We’ll be in the middle of the SharePoint partner zone in booth #1349. Drop on by for some free swag (mention my blog and get a super-cool Sonar cap) and be sure to hit us up on Tuesday night for a Sonar koozie as there will be lots of free drinks during the Vendor Expo event (and you’ll want to keep that frosty beverage cold for as long as possible). We’ll be doing plenty of canned Sonar demos but if you have a VPC with some thorny performance issues, bring it along and we’ll throw Sonar on it and do some on-the-fly performance analysis (if possible, try to have the source code for any custom components available so we can do proper troubleshooting). Throughout the week we’ll also be featuring a few of our partners, including Lightning Tools, Colligo and B&R Solutions, so be sure to ask about their offerings.

As a side note, the entire UK contingent is welcome to make our booth their home for the week if they don’t have duties or commitments elsewhere. All I ask is a proper cuppa in return!
