Announcing the Support+ Office 365 & SharePoint 2013 App

Today the good folks at Combined Knowledge and myself received some excellent news – our Support+ app was approved for the SharePoint Store and is now available for download. Although I’ve been working on SharePoint apps since mid-2012 (yeah, it really has been that long) this is the first commercial app that I’ve had published in the store. Fellow SharePoint MVP Steve Smith and his crew in the UK did a tremendous job putting all the content together and really making the app look great. My challenge was to take what they had built and turn it into an app for both Office 365 and on-premise SharePoint 2013. There were a number of challenges involved, most notably the limitations of the store licensing model and differing capabilities in the two deployment models, but in the end it was a valuable learning experience.

If you have an Office 365 tenancy Support+ is definitely worth checking out. The app is free and contains a wealth of content that you can utilize with no time restrictions or other limitations. Feel free to take it for a spin and kick the tires. We hope you enjoy it. While you’re in the store, take a few minutes to check out some of the other great apps that are available.
